Things I loved about August 2011: Benny has settled beautifully into his new school (despite one minor little bus incident) and even performed in his first performing arts concert, that Gramps has retired and moved home from QLD (the kids will love having him around more often), that I was able to go to my beautiful cousins baby shower, and that I was able to see see out the 12 months of this project without missing a day.

Thank you August for being so beauitful. 

I started this little project in August 2010 and so today marks the end of 12 months of being grateful - every.single.day.

I have learnt a lot about myself and the people I am blessed to share with my life with. I have been grateful for small things and big things, through both sad times and happy times. As today passes, I know one thing for sure and certain - I will always be grateful to have this last year of life documented through this photo project.

If I can give one encouragement to anyone that has followed along this journey with me - whether it be from the start or somewhere along the way ... we have so much to be thankful and grateful for. We just have to look!

PS. I am still deciding where to from here ... do I continue? Do I stop for a little while?

For now, I will put together my collage for August and a slideshow of the year that has been - which I will post over the next few days. Then going forward ... we'll lets just wait and see.

I feel so blessed to go to sleep and wake up beside this man every day.

Benny's school had their mid term break today (where all teachers and kids have a day off to re-energize and re-focus). So this morning he went to visit Daddy's office. Then after lunch - he came to visit me in my office.

I think we all had a fun day.

Simple things - like the reflection of my lamp on the wall.

We went out for Emma's birthday tonight. We went to see Jane Eyre at the movies, and then to Krispy Kreme for coffee and a donut.

My gorgeous magnolia tree is flowering again.

I took a moment this afternoon to stop and admire it.  When I looked closer, I realised on a whole new level just how exquisite and beautiful they truly are (especially on the inside)!

Benny is still recovering from a cold - he had Friday off school and had a very quiet weekend at home. He went to school yesterday and today (Mr Eager Beaver insisted) but I still dont think he is 100%. I think Jessie is on her way down with something too ... boo hoo!

They were both very keen to hop into bed, have 5 minutes wind down time with their iPods and have an early night.
